The unique combination of high crystallinity and alignment within the 3D microstructure enables the isotropic transfer of electrons and forces. Unlike any other carbon material on the market, this combination of conductivity and reinforcement does come with excellent processability
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We create an emulsion feedstock by adding soap and water to oil.
This works as a blueprint to generate a 3D network structure of carbon filaments.
The network enables better material properties that lead to smart and more sustainable products
forms the basis for enhanced material properties withstands extreme processing conditions
a route for conductivity, provides reinforcement controlled length and thickness
carbon atoms group into large hexagonal structures its controlled size ensures uniformity
controlled pore size and strong pores, allows perfect embedding into other materials
- Surface area: 189 m²/g
- Pore volume: 1.58 cm³/g
- Density: 0.47 g/cm³
- XR-1 is delivered in pelletized form in 20kg PP bags.
XR-1 is our high surface area grade. It can be used as a conductive additive in a variety of matrices (PA-6, EPDM, FKM, FFKM). Resistivity values as low as 2 Ohm.cm can be reached without impacting viscosity as much as the competition. When compounded for tire applications, XR-1 reduces the Payne effect (by 20%) without compromising safety or performance.
- Surface area: 108 m²/g
- Pore volume: 1.38 cm³/g
- Density: 0.54 g/cm³
- X1 is delivered in pelletized form in 20kg PP bags.
X1 is our customers’ favourite choice for high abrasion resistance in tread applications. X1 couples the extended longevity of the compound with a remarkable improvement of both Rolling Resistance Coefficient and grip.
- Surface area: 78 m²/g
- Pore volume: 1.55 cm³/g
- Density: 0.50 g/cm³
- X3 is delivered in pelletized form in 20kg PP bags.
X3 is our best grade when it comes to processability and finishing. It has been used successfully in both Elastomer and Thermoplastic applications when safety requirements demand for conductivity in the ESD regime.
- Surface area: 50 m²/g
- Pore volume: 1.34 cm³/g
- Density: 0.46 g/cm³
- X5 is delivered in pelletized form in 20kg PP bags.
X5 is our most flexible grade. It can be applied in a variety of matrices and applications when a low hysteresis carbon is needed. X5 is the best starting point to get familiar with CarbonX features in applications such as Hoses, Seals, Tires, and Belts.
- Surface area: 40 m²/g
- Pore volume: 0.95 cm³/g
- Density: 0.51 g/cm³
- X7 is delivered in pelletized form in 20kg PP bags.
X7 is our go to grade when compounding with thermoplastics. It can impact reinforcement to TP even at high loadings. Conductivity in the EMI shielding region can be achieved. X7 is our customers preferred choice in rubber applications that demand for optimal compression set. It shows outstanding compatibility with high performance rubbers such as HNBR, FKM, and FFKM.
